73 Baiden Street, Portsmouth Village
73 Baiden Street is a two-storey limestone residence built in 1869. It is located at the northeast corner of Baiden Street and McDonald Avenue in the Portsmouth Village Heritage Character Area. This dwelling is located close to the side and front property lines and presents an impressive front and side aspect to the public. The property is designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. The vergeboards aong the roofline add a decorative touch to the otherwise simple residence typical of the village at that time. That vergeboard along with other elements were carefully restored and this work was awarded by the Frontenac Heritage Foundation for heritage conservation in 2025. More information is provided in our awards section.
