One of 29 properties designated under a single City of Kingston By-law (80-63):  “Built about 1845 for merchant Samuel W. Brady and owned and occupied for many years by shoemaker John Pugh and his family, this well-proportioned frame dwelling is a good example of the larger wooden dwellings in the village. The house was given an award by the Frontenac Heritage Foundation in 1984 and 2016.
